Elbow sound, Hill treated for inflammation
VIERA, Fla. (AP) - Shawn Hill has no structural damage in his surgically repaired elbow, the Washington Nationals said Friday after the right-hander was examined Friday in Pensacola by Dr. James Andrews.

Hill was scratched from his scheduled Thursday start against Detroit in Lakeland because of tightness in his right forearm. Andrews prescribed anti-inflammatory medications to treat what was diagnosed as inflammation.

The right-hander had two stints on the disabled list last year before season-ending elbow surgery. He missed time in 2007 with right shoulder problems and a compressed nerve in his right forearm, and sat out the 2005 season after right elbow ligament-replacement surgery.
