Rickie Weeks was 3 for 5 with a home run, a triple, two runs batted in and three runs scored.
TURNING POINT
After Braden Looper had a 1-2-3 inning in the top of the fourth, the Brewers scored five times with two outs in an inning that proved to be the deciding factor as they wouldn't score again.
BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
* Miller Park had its first home-run replay in the sixth inning when Ross Gload hit it out down the right-field line. It was originally called a homer but after a quick review, the call was reversed and Looper ended up striking out Gload.
* Weeks fielded Jorge Cantu's ground ball up the middle in the second inning, but slipped trying to plant his feet. Weeks regained his footing, somewhat, and made an off-balance throw to just get Cantu at first.
* Florida shortstop Hanley Ramirez made a nice play ranging toward the hole on a Mike Cameron grounder, but his across-the-field throw pulled Cantu too far off first base and Cameron was safe with an infield hit.
CLUBHOUSE CONFIDENTIAL
There was a lot of interest in the clubhouse and around the batting cage regarding Washington Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman and his 30-game hitting streak. The Brewers peeked at the flat-screen television in the clubhouse to watch the Nationals and Giants, and when they hit the field for batting practice, Ryan Braun was among a gro up of players asking for updates. As it turned out, Zimmerman's streak ended with a 0-for-3 day and two walks.
STATITUDES
* Chris Coghlan hit his first major-league home run in the first inning.
*Weeks hit his 13th career leadoff home run.
