WASHINGTON (AP) - Right-handed reliever Jesus Colome was released by the Washington Nationals on Wednesday after two seasons with the club.
Colome went 2-2 with a 4.31 ERA in 61 appearances last season for the Nationals, who finished a majors-worst 59-102. In 2007, he was 5-1 with a 3.82 ERA in 61 games.In eight major league seasons with Tampa Bay and Washington, Colome is 18-25 with six saves and a 4.50 ERA.
