Jordan Zimmermann wins his second game for the Washington Nationals , allowing one run over 5 1/3 innings against the Mets. He was kept down in the minors for the first half of April as the Nationals didnt need a fifth starter. Given that he now has half the Washington wins, maybe the team should have made him the ace from the beginning. Then the Nats might have six wins by now! The bottom of the Nats order did most of the damage today as the 6-8 hitters combined to go 7 for 13 with two walks and six runs scored. The bullpen even did their job, going 3 2/3 hitless innings. It was a rare team effort for the Nationals .
